Top 15 Tips to Write a Good SEO Article

1. Understanding the target audience

Know thy audience. This is the basis of writing a good SEO article. Think from the audience point of view. You will get to know what they expect from you.

2. Research

Perform a thorough research on what you are going to write. Your readers will probably know the basics of the topic you are going to write. So writing some general and vague content won’t help. Your article should give a thorough knowledge to the reader.

3. Title Selection

The title of an article is what people see first. The time you spend on selecting your topic will affect the end result of your article. Use some catchy phrase which the reader finds interesting and probing them to read further. Also from SEO point of view, remember that a keyword in the title gets more importance. But make sure that you don’t spoil the effectiveness of your title.

4. Engage real experts

If the research you performed hasn't yielded the resources you need, feel free to get the help of experts from online forums or blogs. This will cost you nothing and will improve the quality of your content to a great extent.

5. Originality

Original article always attracts readers. Be sure that the article you write is your own. Copying contents from other sites is illegal and you’ll be detected by Google and get penalized.

6. Usage of keywords

Always remember that you write article for readers and optimize it for robots. Keyword density of more than 3% makes the reader lose interest in your article. Write quality content for readers and help robots to find them. Perform keyword research and find what people are searching for.

Using statistical values in your article improves the credibility of your article and readers tend to read credible stuff. These statistics will improve the quality of your article to a great extent.

13. Read and follow publishing guidelines

Just writing a good article and posting it in good directory won’t give the popularity your article deserves. Promote your article in social media sites such as Facebook, Google+, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.

Embed some widgets like Facebook comments, shares, Google+ , etc. so that readers find it easy to share your article on social media platforms.

Adding meta tags in blogger is really a best way to drive traffic from search engines and it really good for seo of your blog. but did you know that we can also add separate meta tags for each post. so each post has his own data in google search engine. meta tags are really important part in blogs because it tell search engines that what is in your blog post . it is really best for blog and it make our blog rank high in search engines. you can add keywords and description for each post in blogger.

How to add Meta Description Tags on Blogger

Blogger has rolled out an array of SEO features and now adding Meta Tags has become so easy. You can do it easily from the Blogger’s User Interface without doing much of Template Editing or pulling your hair.
Adding Meta tags in your blog follow the instructions bellow..
  • Sign into your Blogger dashboard, and select proper blog.
  • Now, Click on Template » Backup/Restore  » Download full template.
  • After completing download skip it by clicking Close.
  • Now, click on Settings » Search preferences » Edit (in Description) under Meta tags In the Text area give a 150 character description which will describe your Blog. This text might be used by Search engines when your Blog’s home page is displayed on Search Engines.
    Now, enable search description by clicking on Yes, and write the homepage description in the box. Finally, click on Save changes.

Adding meta description to individual Post on Blogger

A meta description for a post or a static page can be added  via Blogger’s post editor.
  1. Click Posts and select a post to edit.
  2. Click Search Description option under Post settings. (This option appears only after you enabled search description in step 1)
  3. Enter the meta description for the post and click Done.
For older posts, you have to go back to edit each post and manually add in the description.But before you do that, it’s better to confirm if this feature works on your blog template.
If you don’t see the search description option in your Blogger post editor after completing all the steps mention above. Follow the next step otherwise skip it.
This is a step for those who never get the search description option in their Blogger post editor. You may find this problem if you are using some types of custom Blogger templates.
You will have to add it to your template manually:
  • Go to Template » Edit HTML find the code <head> and just below this code paste the following code.

      <meta expr:content='data:blog.metaDescription' name='description'/>
    </b:if> 
  • Finally, click on Save template.
