If you are running your own blog and you have not head about Google Authorship yet, this post of mine must fascinate you.
What Is Google Authorship?
Google Authorship is a very enticing feature, by which your blog posts get indexed with much more authority than the simple posts. It does not only distinguish your post from the rest of the search engine result page entries but also increase the SERP click through rate hugely as well. Once you have done setting up Google Authorship, author’s profile picture will be included in the search results along with your blog post. People are more likely to click on such results as they are distinct in nature, look pretty attractive and offers more authority.

How To Implement ?
You can set this all up in three easy steps. The only assumption is you should know a little about your wordpress setting and wordpress dashboard. Even if you are not so much familier with the wordpress dashboard, just pay a close attention to the various settings. Every thing there is self explanatory. So here are the steps to make your blog more impressive and authoritative.
In the first step you need to create a google+ profile and you make sure that upload a picture and in the settings you verify your email address.
You must write down the URL of your blog in the “Contributor to” section of your Google+ profile settings. This is very important.
You got to make it sure that every article or post your publish on your blog should have a clear byline identifying you as author. (Ex By Vivek)
Now set up an author profile on your wordpress blog by logging into your wordpress dashboard, create a new user if you want to, fill up all the information. In the Biographical info section write down about yourself if you are an author, make sure you add a link to your Google+ profile there. Add “?rel = author” before the closing tag of hyper link. Publish an avatar of yourself on gravatar as well if wordpress is now showing your avatar.
